Ello Ghosts & Ghouls!
This is the very first blog post on the site, and it definitely didn’t take me a while to write at all. I’m really excited to finally have a space like this, and I plan on expanding it a lot over time. Eventually, I’d love to add the prologues for the current book in Phobia, and maybe even Subspace as well, though I’m still figuring out how to organize all of that on the main page. Speaking of Phobia, the eleventh book in the series is currently in progress and is shaping up to be the largest one yet. As of right now, it’s sitting at about 97 pages and 30,876 words, which is honestly a little terrifying but also very exciting.
Subspace, on the other hand, is on a temporary pause while I focus all of my attention on Phobia. I really want to avoid hitting another writer’s block, especially since this book is so big and needs all my energy to finish. With school back in full swing and no real breaks for the next few months, progress might be slower than usual, but I’m determined to keep pushing forward. That said, this doesn’t mean future books for Subspace or Phobia aren’t already planned. I have tons of ideas written down in a document, and they’ll be put into action as soon as this book is complete.
You can also expect a variety of new cast members in both series, along with a very confidential document from Shivani sometime soon. On top of all that, I’ve also started working on an entirely new series, making this my third one in development. The basic plot and setting are already planned out, though the timeline is still up in the air—possibly somewhere between the early 1800s and 1900s. Overall, things have been going really well lately, even if school has dragged us all back into a daily 9-to-5 routine. Still, I’m excited for what’s coming next~
How about a few little sneak-peaks of the upcoming book to keep you hungry, yeah? Well, not exactly sneak-peaks: Just random dialogue because I’m too lazy to find what’s important ToT
~Chapter 2~
Bicket dropped down after him, landing with a heavy thud. He cracked his neck, hands on his hips, like Raymond hadn’t just gifted him the win. “Well, that was easy.”
Ray shot upright, brushing himself off. “Pfft—I let you win. Don’t forget, I’m also a blackbelt.”
Bicket snorted. “What’s a blackbelt gonna do against a gun?”
Ray smirked. “What’s a demon gonna do against two kids half his size? Oh, right—we already found out. He loses.”
~Chapter 4~
“DID YOU SEE THAT?” Holly hissed, ducking behind cover.
“WHAT DO YOU THINK?!” Liam shot back, his voice cracking.
“I DON’T! THAT’S WHY I ASKED YOU!”
“WELL WHERE DID IT COME FROM, YOU ABSOLUTE DUNDERHEAD?!”
“AGHHHHHHHHHH! I CAN’T RELY ON YOU FOR ANYTHING.”
~Chapter 8~
Smythe sighed, rubbing his temple. “Are you two done?”
“What do you do for a living?” Ilta shot back.
He glanced down at her, unimpressed. “What does it look like? Lots of things.”
“Where’s your office?”
“Don’t have one.”
“How come?”
“Can you— I don’t need one.”
“Where’s your wife?”
“Don’t have one.”
“How come?”
“It’s a very… long story.”
“Do you have kids?”
Smythe’s brow twitched. “Do you have a brain, young lady?”
“How come you don’t have ki-”
“IT’S AN EVEN LONGER STORY!”
“Are you—”
“Yes,” Smythe cut her off, “affiliated with this cursed facility. Congratulations, you guessed it.”
